Terms & Conditions – Narendra Mohan Smriti Sahitya Sammaan

  1. Eligibility :
    Entries for consideration must pertain exclusively to books originally published during the calendar year 2024 and written in the Hindi language. Also, only books of the genres such as poetry, short stories, novels, etc. will be considered for the award.”
  2. Multiple Submissions:
    A participant may submit more than one work by the same author, provided that each submitted work independently satisfies the eligibility criteria prescribed herein.
  3. Submission Requirements:
    It is mandatory for each participant to submit two hardbound or paperback copies of every work entered, each duly carrying an ISBN. Incomplete or defective submissions shall be summarily rejected.
  4. Submission Fee:
    Each entry shall be accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200/- per book. Entries without payment of this fee shall not be considered.
  5. Evaluation and Selection:
    All eligible entries shall be reviewed by a duly constituted and independent jury of eminent persons, whose deliberations and recommendations shall form the sole basis for the selection of the award-winning work.
  6. Finality of Jury Decision:
    The decision of the jury shall be final, conclusive, and binding upon all participants. No correspondence, representation, or dispute with respect to the jury’s decision shall be entertained.
  7. Rights Reserved:
    All rights pertaining to the administration, conduct, and conferral of the Narendra Mohan smriti sahitya Samman shall vest exclusively with Dainik Jagran, which reserves the right to cancel, modify, or withdraw the award process at its sole discretion, without assigning any reason.
  8. Pricing Policy:
    The processing fee is a one-time payment per entry and is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the award process.
  9. Shipping and Submission:

(a) Books which are defective, damaged, mutilated, or otherwise unfit shall not be accepted.
(b) Entries shall be valid only if sent by registered post/courier or as a soft copy in the manner expressly prescribed (if permitted).
(c) Entries received after 31st August 2025 shall be summarily rejected and shall not be considered.

  1. Jurisdiction:
    All disputes, if any, arising out of or in connection with the Narendra Mohan Smriti Sahitya Sammaan shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
